Starts June 3rd
Our adult and child course is a chance to pause together and explore emotions in a way that feels safe, creative and easy to understand.
Across four relaxed sessions, children aged 5–11 attend with a parent or trusted adult. Through simple activities, crafts and conversation, we explore how feelings show up in the body, what worries can feel like, and ways families can talk about emotions at home.
This isn’t about fixing children or labelling behaviour, it’s about building emotional understanding together.
Many parents tell us they simply want to understand their child a little better, or feel more confident supporting big feelings when they show up. These sessions are designed to help with exactly that.
What we’ll explore together
• Week 1 – Where feelings live in our body
• Week 2 – Understanding worries with our Worry Keepers
• Week 3 – Navigating stormy emotions
• Week 4 – Celebrating strengths and “Amazing You”
Who it’s for
Children aged 5–11 and the adult who supports them at home.
You might join because your child struggles with worries, big feelings, or simply because you want to support their emotional development proactively.
What to expect
• Small group (maximum 6 families)
• Relaxed, welcoming environment
• Creative activities and simple tools to use at home
• A chance for parents to learn alongside their child
Sessions take place at Bridge the Gap, St Mary’s Gate, Derby.
